JOINT-VENTURES

As part of its continued growth and commitment to producing products readily accepted by an international clientele, Citra Tubindo has formed a number of joint-ventures and established affiliation with companies in oil-related industries.

DSAW		VIETUBES
Beginning operation in early 1998, P.T. Dwi Sumber Arca Waja (DSAW) produces double-submerged arc-welded structural pipe at its plant in Batam. These products are widely used in the offshore construction industry. (Visit their web site at www.ptdsaw.com)		Citra Tubindo has established a joint venture, Vietubes, located in Vung Tau, Vietnam together with Valtubes SA, Sumitomo Metal Industries and PetroVietnam to thread and repair OCTG. The plant began operations in January 1997.
UCM		UOT
An important joint venture is UMW Citra Maju Sdn. Bhd. (UCM) established on the island of Labuan, off the eastern Malaysian State of Sabah. It is the premier OCTG threading plant in the country. UCM is dedicated to producing quality tubular products for the petroleum industry in East Malaysia and the Kingdom of Brunei Darussalam.		In association with UCM, the company has established repair facilities in Sattahip and Songkla, Thailand. UCM Oiltex (UOT) is a joint venture with Sembawang Offshore Petroleum Services to supply the oil industry in Thailand OCTG, drill string accessories and repair services.
H-TECH
Set up in 1997 as a joint-venture with Grant Prideco, USA, P.T. H-Tech manfactures high quality drill pipes to API and Grant Prideco specifications.
